Some freaky experiments must be happening and I believe it’s Aizen. It seemed all of those who were presence are slowly turning into Hollow (not Arranccar)! It’s like everyone going through the transformation process where they were fighting their inner hollow while the physical body went out of control. There must have been some effect. And boy Shinji was slashed up!

However, to see Aizen, Gin and Tousan appearing as a trio this much earlier as a hidden group definitely came as a surprise. The story is really getting rough.
