Didn’t really think it would be funny, but it was funny!
Ben Stiller reprise the role Larry Daley, not as a night guard, but a successfull businessman selling his very own invention! Aww, his dream! But something never change, and it would come calling when you least expected. That exactly what happened when the Museum kind of got upgraded with 2.0, and the exhibits needed to be moved to archive at Washington, the Smithsonian, world largest museum.
Joined with returning characters like Jedediah Smith (Owen Wilson), Octavius (Steve Coogan) and new characters like Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams), it was a brilliant adventure. In fact, to bring in villians over the century, like Kah Mun Rah (Hank Azaria), Napoleon Bonaparte (Alain Chabat), Ivan the Terrible (Christopher Guest) etc., as the main antagonists was really a surprise and somewhat different from the first installment. That’s something definitely made the show that much more entertaining simply because it really wasn’t yet-another-sequel-of-same-story. Einstein and the cupids were definitely good laugh!
I’d really rate it as a very entertaining movie, enjoyable for a good weekend afternoon/evening. 7.0/10.0 from me, it was just fun to watch and laugh at.
