I have one colleague, and it’s always very interesting to watch her eat. She is so gentle with her food that makes the rest of the girls I know savages. And the way she picks on the black sesame seeds off her rice, is just cute. *blushes*

Did a two days road trip to Melaka. A company trip actually. Definitely a good break from the endless hours in office. Think that’s precisely what the big boss had in mind when he made that sudden announcement to hit the road within a week time.

Instead of a road trip, guess might want to declare it as a Food Trip. Think that’s more aptly. The first convoy of 3 cars arrived on Saturday noon. Ole Sayang was the menu. Then Jonker Walk, Dim Sum, Ampang Balik, Wantan Mee & Satay Celup. Was hunting for fresh Yao Char Guai, but couldn’t find any. The next day saw Melaka Big Pau, Nasi Lemak, Bak Kut Teh, Chicken Rice Ball, Cendol, Asam Laksa & Portuguese Settlement.

Of course, we were joined by our KL counterparts and that totaled ourselves to near 40 pax! It’s simply a good refresh!

Once in a while, you get to eat something different during lunch. Today was one of the once.

It’s not my first time visiting this stall, 2nd time actually. It’s by the old boat quay area, among those old shop houses. Pretty small shop actually. Pretty pack actually.

We got there a bit late, the crowd had already arrived. Nevertheless, we tried to pounce on a table for four. Couldn’t get a decent one. Stuff into a corner, we made our order. Waited for more than 30 minutes, food didn’t arrive and manage to changed a table.

Could see my colleague, her first time here, was very frustrated. She definitely not the queuing type. Further, I kind of drew a blank on the tastiness of the meal before that.

Speaking of the meal, well, I stand by how I drew the blank to my colleague. Seriously, I’ve no idea why it’s that pack. I don’t find anything special bout it. Taste wasn’t strong, meat wasn’t tender either. In fact, the only extra I could see from it was the oil.

Anyway, to me, the meal doesn’t really matter, it’s the company that counts! Heh… oh, and I forgot to take down the name of the shop, I could bring you there though if you want.
