Turkish GP - Qualifying

My thoughts on the qualifying? Nothing as interesting as the previous Barcelona.

Then again, Barcelona was a track where Alonso needed, really needed, to pull something out of the bag. It was his home race after all, home race.

The qualifying went as expected - only this time, dropping five in each quarter instead of six due to Super Aguri pulling out. First Q and second Q didn’t come to much surprise to me, although ITV F1 commentator Martin and James were screaming for a few causality here and there. But I guess among all, N. Piquet must be feeling the worst for Alonso was just so far up ahead.

On Q3, my eyes were all on BMW. I am a fan. BMW fan I guess thanks to Petronas sponsor. After this qualifying, I still think BMW is very far away from getting their first win via racing. Note, if Ferrari and McLaren crashes out, that doesn’t count! Think BMW are just not quick enough to be mounting challenges. Or perhaps, just perhaps with me being optimistic, they’re too conservative on their strategy.

Anyway, tomorrow should be a good race. Wonder if Massa will do a hand hat-trick. I wonder.

As for my prediction, Raikkonen, Massa, Hamilton for the podium in order. Think Heiki will crash out.

What is a hand trick? I think Heiki will stay there. I predict Kimi will not be on the podium.
